Your providers are your business and much of your work
is in getting information from them and supplying reports
back to them.
Wouldn't it be great if there was a website (password protected
of course) where they could go and check the information you
hold on them, including what publishing options they've taken
out with you. What if trusted events providers could put in
and edit events (moderated by you or published straight away).
And if only advertisers could see how many hits they'd had
from your consumer website, or your B2B website, or the kiosk.
And see how many bookings they'd had, to what value and where
they'd come from: the TIC? the booking service? the website?.
And what if they could put in not only their availability,
but all their different prices and tariffs, all of next year's
prices (and the year after!). What a lot of work that would
save.
Well of course we can already do just that. Dms-direct is
an extranet for providers. It is available to all providers
you enter into the system. And for providers who are not yet
confident on the web, they can update via optical fax and
touchtone. Dms-direct isn't an optional extra with an extra
price tag, it doesn't take months to build or set up. It is
ready as soon as you put in the records. Because, like all
the system components, it is activated by the data. So with
all this already done, the real question, as far as we are
concerned, is… what else do you want to do??
