Wanted - DMO's who have a hankering to be on TV! Sounds
like fantasy? Well it needn't be, our sister company EBS already
has relationships with over 50 channels including a dozen
new local channels appearing in various parts of the UK.
These utilise existing transmitters and aerials (part of
a government initiative - DCMS are very keen on local TV)
so they're "free-to-air" and anyone in the area
can tune in. We are now actively seeking partners prepared
to try a completely new distribution channel, and to help
us make it happen.
How? Well here's an idea: what if the local station ran a
daily programme aimed specifically at visitors to your destination.
Content could be a mixture of simple broadcast quality digital
video "shorts" of major attractions, events, venues
etc overlaid with dynamic data (like the latest events and
availability) from the DMS. Great for the content hungry station,
great for visitors and great for the community.
Or maybe you'd like to trial a t-commerce application on
one of the many dedicated travel channels. Guess what - we
have experience of developing those too.
